Solar panels can be safely installed on many types of roofs. We always send our qualified survey technicians out to verify the condition and type of roof to ensure the solar system can be safely installed and work efficiently on your home.

+ Do I have to have good credit to finance a solar system?

We offer multiple financing products to ensure competitive solar offerings to all homeowners. Our Energy Advisors will work closely with you to find a financing option that works best for you!

+ How much will solar save me?

Solar financing can save the average homeowner between 15-25% and has the advantage of potentially providing immediate savings with no initial investment.

+ Will I receive a credit for any extra energy produced by my solar system?

Depending on the net metering laws in your state as well as your specific utility provider, excess energy produced may be credited toward the next month’s bill (credited on an annual basis).

+How does the Solar Investment Tax Credit work (ITC)?

The residential ITC is currently equal to 30% of the basis that is invested in the eligible property for all jobs installed in 2019. In 2020, the ITC will step down to 26% and in 2021 will step down to 22%. After 2021, the residential credit will drop to 10%. The time to go solar is NOW so you can enjoy the full benefits of your new system.

+ Why do you need my electric bills to design a solar system for my house?

Your electric usage gives us the information that we need in order to build a system that is customized to your energy usage patterns. We size your solar system based on how much power you use and we dig deeper to determine if you might need more in the future based on plans that might increase consumption such as installing air conditions or a pool heater. This helps to ensure that we don’t design a system that is too small or too big.

+ How long does it take to get installed?

Depending on where you live, the average timeline can range between 30-60 days. The reason for this is that different cities and counties have unique permitting processes and regulations. The good news is that we take care of every single step and conveniently coordinate the entire process for you!

+ How long after installation until my system is up and running?

Getting permission to operate a system and start generating energy largely depends on your local city and utility company. We will be able to give you a better idea of your operating timeline after your system installation is complete. In some cases, the process is completed in less than 10 business days!

+ Will the solar system change my gas bill or just my electric bill?

Installing solar will definitely have a positive effect on your electric bill because your panels will generate most of the electricity you need. Solar panels will not affect your gas bill unless you switch from gas to electric appliances.

+ What if I live in an HOA?

We often install solar panels in communities with HOA’s. We work closely with your HOA to ensure your system is installed to meet their specific guidelines and requirements.

+ Is the system covered by a warranty?

We are proud to offer multiple warranty options for our customers. We have 3 levels of warranties based on your chosen panel. Our standard warranty, which is available with any panel, covers 10 year installation workmanship and 5 year installation roof penetrations. Our level 1 warranty, which is available with LG panels only, covers 20 year installation workmanship and 10 year installation roof penetrations. Our level 2 warranty, which is available with CertainTeed panels only, covers 25 year installation workmanship and 25 year installation roof penetrations.
